October 1, 1921 — November 1, 2012

HOPE, ARTHUR D. - 91 of Loudon, passed away at his home Thursday, November, 1, 2012. Arthur was retired employee of State of Tennessee, Veteran of US Navy WW II, and a dedicated member and deacon of First Baptist Church. He was well known for his sense of humor and the beautiful woodworking that meant so much to him. He and his beloved wife, Dorothy Elkins Hope had a booth each year at Dollywood for many years. Preceded in death by wife; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Ann Christian Hope; parents, Curtis and Elsie Campbell Hope; step mother, Emma Watson Hope; step brother, J. L. Watson. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Hope, Loudon; six grandchildren and spouses, Christi and Jonathan Ballinger, Carol and Jeff Taranova, Cathy Hope, Mike Hope, Angie Hope, and Curtis and Melissa Hope. Funeral services 7:00 p.m. Friday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Richard Everett officiating. Family and friends will meet at Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens 10:30 a.m. Saturday of graveside services.
