GILES, BENJAMIN A. "BEN" - 79 of Loudon, died Wednesday at Parkwest Medical Center. Ben was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Hazel Chambers Giles; sisters, Alta Ruth Weaver, Agnes Lane, Caroline Snow; brother, Thomas E. "Tom" Giles. Survivors: brother, Roy W. Giles of SC; sisters, Geraldine Steele of TX, Mary Nell Hughes and Lynda Goble of Loudon. Graveside services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Union Fork Creek Cemetery with Rev. Walt Simmerman officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
