Billie Thacker

Billie Sue Cross Thacker, age 77 of Loudon, went home on Sunday, October 17, 2021. She liked gardening, planting flowers, and feeding her birds. She worked at Maremont for several years. She was a Registered Medical Assistant while in Ohio. She retired from Crescent Hosiery Mill, in Loudon.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Thacker; parents, Lester and Effie Cross; sisters, Barbara J. Cross, Doris Cross, Geraldine Kerr, and Margie Kerr; brothers, James Cross and Junior Kerr. She is survived by children, Tracy Larsen, Julie Rucker and husband Jay, Melinda Allmon and husband Kevin and Ben Burnette; grandchildren, Scott Duncan, Mindy Wagner, C.J. Kress, Jonathan Kress, Katie Kress, Brandon Burnette, and Noah Burnette; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Luther “Fuzz” Cross, Jake Cross, and David Cross; sister, Linda Thompson; special friends, Maria Johnson, Reba Jenkins, Judy Tilley, and Skeet McCullough; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Loudon High School and Middle School Football Boosters. The family will receive friends 5 pm - 7 pm Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Rick Kirkland and Mike Kiser officiating.
