WARD, BILLIE JO BRUMMITT - 77 of Newport, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at her home. She was born in Roane County, Tennessee, and was lovingly known as Mama Jo. Preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Iva Lee Parks Brummitt; siblings, Thomas, Chris, Charles, and Geneva Herrell. Survivors: six children, Sandy Ledford, Louisville, Joseph Ward and wife, Angla, Gatlinburg; Gary Ward, Newport, Larry Ward, David Ward, Knoxville, Rose Sexton, Sevierville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; brother, Rev. Frank Brummitt and wife, Thelma, Alabama. Funeral services 7:00 p.m., Saturday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Frank Brummitt officiating. Interment 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Prospect Cemetery.
