Carl Richard Sibbitt, born January 28, 1935, peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Carl was born in Kokomo Indiana and was a member of Kokomo Missionary Baptist Church. He service 8 years in the Indiana National Guard. He retired from Cabot Corporation in Kokomo Indiana and after moving to Tennessee, retired from Perma Grain of Lenoir City. While employed at Perma Grain, he served as Vice President of the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union. After retirement, he and Vivian enjoyed traveling to many states and fishing at the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Jessie Sibbitt; and son, Greg. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 year, Vivian; daughter, Julie (Mark) Carter; and sister, Marjorie (Ernie) Rakestraw; grandchildren, Kristopher Presnell and friend Kathleen, Kari (Rawley) Bishop, Noah and Sarah Sibbitt, and Shelby Carter; great-grandchildren, Hadlee and Khloe Presnell, Saylor, Brooks, and Harper Bishop; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, 4602 Salem Road, Greenback, TN. Rev. Rick Kirkland will be officiating and military honors provided by the Loudon County Veteran Honor Guard. Loudon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. www.loudonfuneralhome.net
