Carl Watson

Carl Bruce Watson, age 68 of Philadelphia, TN, went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2020. You knew when he was around because everyone would be laughing. He never spoke ill of anyone.  Everyone that knew him loved him.  He would do anything for anyone.  He was a cowboy that loved riding his horses and going on wagon trains.  He loved touring the country on the back of his motorcycle.  He laid rubber to all 48 contiguous states.  He always wanted to ride in Hawaii and Alaska to chalk up all 50 states.  Live to ride, Ride to live explained him perfectly.  He loved his family and his friends more than life.  He was loved by everyone that knew him and will be missed deeply.  Bruce was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucille Shirk; his parents, Carl Watson Jr. and Penny Watson; Uncle, Clifford Shirk. Bruce is survived by wife, Alice “Jane” Watson; Sons, Brian Watson and wife Dawn, Wade Watson, Taylor Watson and wife Kelsey; Step-sons, Michael Wooden, and Nick Hudson and wife Amy; Grandchildren, Rylan Watson, Jax Watson, Stephen and baby girl Sabrina Wooden, Tyler, Hannah, and Braden Ellis; Sisters, Donna Mincey and husband Keith, Kim Dailey and husband Dewayne; Brothers, Larry “Pete” Watson, Tim Watson and wife Jeannie. Bruce is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday, October 8th, 2020 at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Danny Thornburg and Rev. Tim Watson officiating.  The graveside service will be held at 11am Friday, October 9, at New Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to invite any extended family or friends to join an honorary motorcycle ride during the procession to the cemetery Friday morning. If you would like to join we will meet at the funeral home at 10:15am Friday morning.
