Charles Jenkins

Charles Thetis Jenkins, age 84 of 706 Rayder Ave., Loudon passed away Sunday afternoon at Ft. Loudoun Medical Center, Lenoir City. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart, and retired employee of the U.S. post Office. Preceded in death by wife, Eris Jenkins, May 2, 2008 and parents, Charles L. Jenkins and Myrtle Watkins Jenkins, Robison. Survivors; Stepsons, Larry Smothers, Tellico Plains and Roy Mashburn, Hollywood Fla.; stepdaughter, Nina Stetson, Hollywood Fla.; Several Grandchildren, special friend and God sent Christy Frederick, Lenoir City; God sent grandchildren, Leigha and Derrick Frederick Lenoir City. Graveside services 2 P.m. Tuesday Watkins Cemetery with Military honors by the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday with funeral services at 7 P.M. with Rev. Gary Cook Officiating.
