Charles Thomas Jones age 82 of Loudon, Tn born in Meigs Co. march 2, 1932. Passed on to be with Jesus on April 22, 2014 with his family by his side. He married hi sweetheart of 61 years in 1953, together raising two sons that he was very proud of. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Loudon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. He was a loving grandfather, always smiling and happy to see his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, never missing a single birthday party. He loved to spend summer days with them by the lake, fishing and cooking out. He could strike up a conversation with any stranger, only to find out that he most likely sold them a car. He was a loyal man and took great pride in his job as a car salesman for 49 years with Curtis-Tipton Ford and Metro West Ford. He was a charter member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Masonic Lodge #204. His love for gardening showed in his generosity of giving away most of his crops to neighbors, family, and friends. He always did like watching a good western. His sweet nature and loving heart had a huge impact on so many. He was preceded in death by his parents William T. Jones and Mattie Roberts Jones, brothers Burley and James, sisters Willie Parks, Dora Beavers, Sue Devine, Nina Scott, Elizabeth Neal, and Virgie Lankford, daughter Sandra Jean Jones. Survived by his loving wife Faye Harold Jones, sons Mike Jones and wife Sandee of Athens and Rick Jones of Knoxville, grandchildren Brent Jones and wife Amber of Athens, Shannon McLemore and husband Chad of Athens, Jeremy Jones of Knoxville, great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Bailey, and Chelsee Jones,Carlee and Braden Mclemore, brother Sam Jones and wife Betty of Harriman, TN and lots of Nieces, nephews whom he loved very much. Masonic Service conducted by Tennessee Lodge # 204 F&AM. At 7 p.m. Friday With Funeral services to follow. In Loudon Funeral Home Chapel. Interment 11 a.m. Saturday Steekee Cemetery with full military honors by the Loudon Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Loudon Funeral Home. www.loudonfuneralhome.net
