Charles "Rusty" Russell

Charles "Rusty" Russell went home to be with Jesus on Monday, February 20th, 2023. He was a dedicated member of Jackson Chapel Baptist Church and Deacon for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. 

Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Bethel Johnson Russell; Sisters, Lucille Lane and Irene Williams; Brothers, Glen "Hamp" Russell and VL "Febbie" Russell; Daughter-in law, Sandra Russell; Grandson, Brandon Russell. 

Charles is survived by his Daughter, Sharon Umphrey and husband Delbert; Sons, Leonard and Gary “Gabby” Russell; Grandsons, Dustin Russell and wife Desiree, Norman Umphrey and wife Rachel, Cody Russell and wife Tina, and Jim Umphrey and wife Destiny; 10 Great-Grandkids; Special Cousin and friends Buddy Bradshaw and wife Elizabeth and Howard Russell; special Niece, Virginia Curtis; and an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 5 PM – 7 PM at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with the eulogy and message brought by Rev. Rick Kirkland, Rev. Greg Jameson, and Rev. Delbert Umphrey. Graveside service will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11 AM at Simpson Cemetery.
