Charles Smith

Charles "Chuck" Smith, born March 20, 1937 of Philadelphia, TN, formerly of Tomball, TX passed away April 15, 2017. He is preceded in death by parents Lester & Frances (Reynolds) Smith and baby boy Darrell. Survived by his daughter & son-in-law Frances & Brent Bodholdt; granddaughter & husband DeAnn & J.R. Bowden; two great-grandsons, Austin & Connor; brother and sister-in-law, J.W. & Linda Smith,; sisters Dorthy & husband James "Paw" Malone and Anne Belle Plemons; nephews, Norman White and wife April and their children Steven, Cayley, and Clay; Joe Malone and wife Becky and their children Jessica and Zach, Charlie Smith and wife Rita and son Tyler, Chad Smith. Chuck loved to fish & hunt, but he loved his family even more. He was a great Daddy, grandpaw & great grandpaw, brother, and uncle. Chuck was a great cut up and loved to have fun. He had a love for country music and gospel. He also loved the mountains, Cades Cove was his favorite place. He was a member of Reeds Springs Baptist Church. And a special thanks to everyone at Kindred in Loudon for taking such wonderful care of him. He loved you all. Funeral service will be 7 P.M. Monday Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Kirkland officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7 prior to the service. Graveside services 10 A.M. Tuesday in Hiwassee Cemetery with Rev. J.W. Smith officiating.
