TALLENT, CHARLES A., SR. - 85 of Loudon, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2011 at Park West Hospital. Charles was a veteran U.S. Navy WWII and retired employee of Eaton Yale and Towne. Member of Blairland Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Bill and Mae Trout Tallent; brother, Jackie; sisters, Beulah, Helen and Mildred. Survivors: wife of 66 years, Marjorie Shell Tallent; children and spouses, Brenda Gardner, Philadelphia, Charles, Jr. and Diane Tallent, Crossville, Mark and Betty Tallent, Bobby Tallent, Philadelphia; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Ray and Ann Tallent, Arkansas; sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Edith) Branaum, Loudon, Mrs. James (Virginia) Holloway, Waverly, VA. Funeral services 7:00 p.m. Friday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Jon Henson officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Corinth Cemetery with Military Honors by Loudon Co. Vete rans Honor Guard.
