Charles Thompson

Charles E. “Chic” Thompson, age 86 of Loudon, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Chic loved to talk and never met a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Dora Thompson; grandson, Matthew Jacob Thompson; brothers, Gene, Bill, Rocky, Mervin, Clifford and Donnie; and sisters, Alma Nix Moore, Wanda Eller  and Bernice Anderson; niece, Candy Shell; and nephews, Billy Thompson and Rick Thompson. Chic is survived by his wife of 61 years, Peggy Thompson; children, Edward Thompson and wife Paula, Timothy Thompson and wife Reanah, Darryl Thompson, and Charlotte Thompson; grandchildren, Amanda Breazeale and husband Paul, Niki Harris and husband Michael, Josh Thompson and wife Brittany, Jesse Thompson and wife Bethany, Emily Best and husband Lucas, Whitney Cordery and husband Tyler, and Hunter Thompson; great-grandchildren, Eli, Madison, Kiera, Ian, Landon, and Jayce; brothers, David Thompson and wife Petey, Sam Thompson and wife Deb; sisters, Joyce Colvard and husband Gene, Mary Shell and husband Johnny; special nieces, Erica Neely and Presley Marie.

The family will receive friends from 5 PM-7PM Friday, April 29, 2022 at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7PM with Pastor David Thompson and Pastor Jerry Upton officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Davis cemetery.
