Chief Hubbard

Chief Master Sergeant Joseph Wade "Joey" Hubbard 41 of Loudon County Tn. Passed away suddenly Monday January 6, 2014 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. He was stationed at the Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. He was a graduate of Loudon High School where he excelled in sports. Chief Hubbard entered the Air Force on August 21, 1990, initially serving as a security specialist at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. In 1994 he transitioned into communications and computer system operations. Chief Hubbard's service included duty at Kunsan Air Base, Korea; KI Sawyer AFB, Michigan; Robins AFB, Georgia; Malmstrom AFB, Montana; Heidelberg, Germany; and Fairchild AFB, Washington. Additionally, he served as the Superintendent of the Secretary of the Air Force's Legislative Liaison Office at the Pentagon, and as the Superintendent of the 53d Test Management Group at Eglin AFB, Florida. Chief Hubbard earned a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Management from Park University and a Master of Business Administration degree, with honors, from Webster University. As Chief Hubbard does every day, he had spent Monday focusing his time, energy, and attention caring for the Airmen of the 53d Test Management Group. Survivors. wife, Karen Connely Hubbard children, Katherine and Joey Hubbard, mother, Brenda Cummings of Knoxville, father and step-mother, Gerald and Annette Hubbard of Philadelphia, siblings, Jeff and Susie Hubbard of Madisonville, Sherry and Greg Wiseman of Athens, Rebecca Hubbard of Knoxville, Jim and Carolyn Hubbard of Vonore. Host of Nieces and nephews. Funeral services 1 p.m. Wednesday Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Scallions and Rev. Casey Hawkins officiating. Interment to follow in the Lakeview Cemetery Lenoir City. with Full Military Honors by The Air Force. Visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
