Edward Jenkins

Edward Eugene (Gene) Jenkins 84, of Prospect Community Loudon, passed away Friday May 29, 2015 at Home. Gene was a member of Prospect Baptist Church, Full Time Farmer and loved going to ball games. Preceded in death by his wife, Minnie B. Oody Jenkins, parents, Walter and Florence Cook Jenkins, sister, Edith Vanosdale and husband, Tom, sister-in-law, Lois Jameson, brother-in-law, Carl (Rab) Howard. Survivors, son's, Ronnie and Terrie Jenkins, Eddie and Barbara Jenkins, daughter, Marsha and Jerry Taylor. Five grandchildren, Kelly and Ed Grun, Ashley Jenkins, Keith and Jamie Townson, Cody and Julie Jenkins, Chad and Amanda Jenkins, Thirteen step-grandchildren, Three great-grandchildren, Levi Townson, Gavin Grun, Corbin Jenkins, Twenty one Great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Margaret Howard, brother-in-law and good friend, Tommy Jameson. niece Kim Hammer, Nephew, Marvin Vanosdale. Several other nieces and nephews good friend Glen Townson and special caregiver, Lena Rolen. And many others who called him papaw. Funeral service 7 p.m. Sunday Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Irons officiating. Interment 11 a,m. Monday Corinth Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the Church.
