Elizabeth “Liz” Bingham Henson
Elizabeth passed away at home with her loving family on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Elizabeth was born November 26, 1930 in Loudon, Tennessee to the late Jim and Maude (Gourley) Bingham. She resided in High Point and Sophia, North Carolina with her husband Clyde until his passing in 1990. Together they raised two children Ricky “Clyde” and Debi Henson (Musgrove). Years later, Elizabeth was married to Clarence “Terry” Wall, until his passing in 2008. Elizabeth loved her family dearly and was so proud of her two beloved granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.
Elizabeth graduated from Loudon High School, and then attended business school in High Point. She taught Sunday school, in which she was very dedicated to, and she had a career as a secretary for many years at Hammermill Paper Company, formerly McEwen Lumber Company. She enjoyed reading, taking care of her home, shopping, and being with friends and family. Elizabeth was a friend to many and a stranger to none. She was admired and an inspiration to others.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Debi Musgrove and husband, John; her granddaughters Michele Musgrove, and Holly Musgrove Guttshall (Eric); and two great-granddaughters Emmy and Reese Guttshall; as well as many nieces and nephews that loved her very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Clyde; son Ricky “Clyde;” her second husband, Clarence “Terry” Wall; eleven sisters and brothers: Susie Wilson, Edith White, Sally Littleton, Ann Liston, Rosa Benson, Ruby Scott, and Margaret Martin, Grady Bingham, Johnny Bingham, George Bingham, and Walter Bingham.
In lieu of flowers those desiring may make a contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Research.
