George Berry

BERRY, GEORGE H. - 72 of Loudon, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 11, 2011. George was born November 3, 1938 to the late George Clay & Pauline Smith Berry. Also preceded in death by brother, Charles; grandchildren, Chasity Britton and Cody Berry. George was a true lover of horses, especially Saddlebreds which he raised, boarded, trained and showed for many customers throughout the years. He was a long time employee of Elm Hill Meats and left behind many friends, including his best "buddy", Grannie Bartie. Survivors: loving wife, Brinda Humphreys Berry; step daughter, Lacy Bingham Maher and husband, Stephen and grandson, Canaan of Powell; sons, George, Jr. and Mickey, Loudon; daughters, Debbie, Loudon, Lisa of Townsend; sisters and brother in law, Elizabeth & Ralph Best, Loudon, Katherine Hicks, Knoxville; brother, Jerry Galyon and wife, Amanda, Loudon; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; nieces an d nephews. Funeral services 7:00 p.m. Thursday Loudon Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Sammy Thomas officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Friday Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
