George Jones

George C. "Whistle" Jones 88 of Philadelphia. Passed away Saturday evening June 13, 2015 at the family home. George was a member of New Macedonia Baptist Church and a life long supporter of the Philadelphia Warriors and the Loudon Redskins. George was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Fannie Jones; parents: Estell and Mary Roxie Plemons Jones, sister: Pearl Ricker, Frances Jones Walker Hammontree, brothers: Victor, Earl, and Leonard Jones. He is survived by his children and spouses, Donnie and Regenia Jones ,Brenda and Scotty Akins of Philadelphia 3 grandchildren, Nikki and Hoss Hunt, Vonore, Casey and Scott MacKintosh, Kelly Jones, Loudon; 3 great grandchildren, Charlotte Hunt, Kensley MacKintosh, Ben MacKintosh; Funeral services 7:00 p.m. Monday at New Macedonia Baptist Church, Rev. Chad Oody and Rev. Jimmy Ridge officiating. Interment Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Sweetwater Memory Gardens with Rev. Hoss Hunt officiating.
