In Loving Memory George Washington Wilkerson Jr. AKA "Red, Peabody" May 21st 1951- Jan 18th 2015. George was a loved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many. He died peacefully in his sleep the morning of Sunday January the 18th at his home surrounded by the love of his family. He peacefully transitioned home after his battle with pancreatic cancer. He came to know the Lord as an adult and professed his faith in Jesus as his Savior. George was born May 21st 1951. He was born to Georgia Mae Siler, and George Wilkerson Sr. In 1972 he began his career as a welder at K25 and had worked there for 25 years and was an active leader for the Union. Afterwards he started his own company Peabody Lawn and Garden. George enjoyed life, loving family, friends, music and dancing. He lived an active lifestyle. He could be found outdoors motorcycling with his closest friends, cycling the hills of east Tennessee or tending his land. He is survived by his loving wife Jane Wilkerson. Son Jason and Laura Wilkerson. Daughter Jayme and Marcus Robinson. Grandchildren Jaylen Wilkerson and Beniah "B" Robinson. Siblings Sara and James E Brown. Uncle Gene and Rosetta Wilkerson, Uncle James Denton and Laura-Ann Wilkerson. Predeceased By Brother Gregory "LuLu" Wilkerson, Sister Darlene Wikerson and Nephew Terry Brown. Memorial Services to be held at Loudon Funeral Home. Visitation Tuesday January 20th 5pm-7pm with funeral to follow. Officiated by Pastor Chad Oody. No interment will follow the service. Honorary pallbearers: Jason Wilkerson, Marcus Robinson, Greg Wilkerson, Travis Brown, Micheal Abron, and Tristan Scruggs. John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life."
