Born on August 23, 1931, Geraldine Mae Ledsome Gwinn, of Madisonville, walked through the gates of Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, at the age of 84. She was a dedicated pastor's wife and loving mother for many years. She was a loving wife to her husband of 66 years, Darrel R. Gwinn, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, and a friend to all. Her main goal in life was to mother her children and help others whenever she could. She enjoyed life and being on of God's children. Born in Amma, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mac G. Ledsome and Nora Mae Ledsome, both of Amma, West Virginia. She was a member of Valley View Free Will Baptist Church in Loudon, and was a wonderful Christian woman. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Darrel R. Gwinn; daughter, Rebecca Gwinn; son-in-law, Robert Stinson; her parents, Mac G. and Nora M. Ledsome; brother Noble Ledsome; and sister, Phyllis Fox. Surviving include: her children, Deborah Gwinn-Stinson, Sandra Gwinn-Stewart, and Jeffrey Gwinn. She had 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She had so much love in her heart and was always smiling. She loved life. We will miss her more than we can say. Our hearts hurt for her, but after the tremendous loss of her sweetheart in May of this year and her illness, we can have peace knowing that she is home at last, safe in the arms of God. Services will be Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Loudon Funeral Home Chapel in Loudon. Receiving friends 12 to 2 pm with the funeral at 2 pm and interment service will follow the funeral at East Sweetwater Free Will Baptist Cemetery.
