Gladys Russell

RUSSELL, GLADYS MARIE PRESLEY - age 97 of Loudon passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Kindred Health Care. Born October 26, 1916. She loved the Lord with her whole heart. The oldest life long member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents Ed and Olivia Tallent Presley; husband Luther Russell and siblings Ruth Harmon, Mildred Roberts, Wilma Sherrill, Jimmy Presley and Billy Presley. Survived by sister Shirley and Bud Hicks; children Luke Russell and Mary, Judy Hughes and Floyd; grandchildren Shena and John Gilmore, Erin Russell, Shane Hughes all of Loudon. Courtney Russell and fiancé David Branton of Knoxville; great granddaughter Nikki Gilmore; great great granddaughter due in December; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Kindred Healthcare and their staff for their loving care and concern. Celebration of life service to be held at 7:00 pm Thursday Loudon Funeral Home chapel with Rev Richard Rudsill and Rev. Asa Major officiating. Friends and family to meet at 11:00 am Friday at Loudon County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 4:00 - 7:00 Thursday at Loudon Funeral Home.
