James Higdon

March 9, 1944 — April 6, 2013

James L. "Larry" Higdon, 69 of Loudon Passed away Saturday evening, April 6, 2013 at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville following complications after heart surgery. Larry was a member of Valley View Freewill Baptist Church and retired employee of FedEx. He was formerly of Memphis where he served as assistant Scout Master to Troop 202. Survivors wife of over 23 years, Nancy Smith Higdon; Daughter, Deborah Higdon; Son, James Aaron Higdon, Loudon; Parents, Leon & Martha Holt Higdon; sisters, Leona Saidak & Husband, Lance, Loudon, Deanie Higdon, Atlanta, Hilda "Dee" Butler & husband, Art, Loudon; Brothers, Dave Higdon & Wife Susan of Duluth,Ga., Mark Higdon, Niceville, Fla.; several nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends 10 a.m.--11 a.m. Saturday April 13, 2013 at Valley View Freewill Baptist Church. with Memorial service at 11 a.m with Pastor Jacob Frady officiating.
