Shelba Jean Russell Hooker, age 85 of Loudon, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2024. She was a member of the Loudon Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid Tennessee Vols and Lady Vols fan. She loved her dog Gracie and she loved to read.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hooker; son, Rusty Collins; parents, Freeman Russell and Anna Rhea Goodwin (Glen); and brother, Ralph Russell. She is survived by her daughter, Lea Ann Edmonds and husband Tommy; grandchildren, Brandon Edmonds and wife Mindi, and Tyler Edmonds; great-grandchildren, Brayzon, Maliyah, and Denver; brother, Ronnie Goodwin; aunts, Carolyn Chaney and Jean DeFord; sister-in-law, Carolyn Nichols; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Special thanks to nieces, Patti, Regina, and Jan, and special friends Janie Davis and Lucille Purdy for all their care and kindness shown and special thanks to Rivergrove Health and Rehab and Caris Hospice Group.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 6-7pm at Loudon Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow with Rev. Dan Harrison officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11am at Steekee Cemetery.
