Jean Passmore

Jean Passmore, formerly of Brasher Falls, NY, died unexpectedly but peacefully, in her sleep, on February 9, 2016 at her home in Loudon, Tennessee. She was 87, born on April 3, 1928 in Flint, Michigan. One of eleven children of Ralph and Florence Sperling. She married Robert Passmore on November 22, 1949. Robert predeceased her on April 19, 2007. Jean worked for years as a teller in several northern New York area banks before retiring in 1984. After retiring she and her husband sailed from New York to the Florida Keys and up the Gulf Coast to settle on the Little Tennessee River where they built their retirement home. Jean truly enjoyed life. She loved being with her family and friends and she will be dearly missed. Surviving are her four children: Two sons and their wives, Michael and Jeanine of Fort Myers, FL and Donald and Sharon of Loudon, TN; two daughters, Laura Passmore and Linda Donovan, both of Potsdam, NY. She had five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday, February 15th, at Bethany Baptist Church, 3586 Highway 72 North, Loudon, TN 37774. Donations in her memory can be made to Bethany Baptist Church, her much loved church family.
