Jimmy Russell

Jimmy "Jim" Russell, 69, of Loudon, passed away suddenly, Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his home. Jim served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was active in the American Legion and the VFW. He spent 30 years as manager of Morrison's Cafeteria and retired from J.T.E.K.T. Corporation. Preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Viola Russell; his wife, Peggy Morelock Russell; brother, Sidney Russell; granddaughter, Hope Yarber; and great granddaughter, Skyla Yarber. He is survived by daughters, Regina and Jess Brooks, and Theresa Smith; sons, Gary Cloyd and Jason and Karen Smith; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 pm Tuesday, Loudon Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary Cook officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1 pm Wednesday at Simpson Cemetery for graveside service.
