Johnnie A. Brogdon, age 83 of Loudon, passed away Tuesday, January 27. Johnnie was a volunteer campground host for over 35 years at Indian Boundary and a carpenter at Carter Lumber Company. Preceded in death by parents, Alford and Minnie Lemons Brogdon; brothers Hershell, Chester and Sammy Brogdon; sisters Reba Jean Carey, Patty Sue Romine and Edna Mae White. He is survived by wife, Mary Thompson Brogdon; son, Johnny Brogdon and wife, Carlin of Loudon; daughters, Shirley and Mike Gardner of Philadelphia and Mary Faye Palmer of Nashville; brother, Harold Brogdon of Kingston; sisters, Dorothy Posey, Linda Smith, Ruth Gray of Loudon, Alice Green of Vonore and Irene Jones of Knoxville; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 p.m. Friday at Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gennis Best officiating. Graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday, Corinth Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday, 5 - 7 pm.
