MAYNARD, JOHNNIE D. "MONK" - 83. of Lakeside Community, Vonore, passed away Thursday morning, July 21, 2011, at the Sweetwater Hospital. Monk was a retired employee of Pontiac Motors and veteran of Army Korean conflict and Preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Jenks Maynard; parents, Sam and Maggie Lou Ritchey Maynard; brothers, Hugh and WRopberts and husband Gregory; son, Thomas Peterson and wife, Susan, both of Michigan; sister, Dorothy "Sis" Liford, Loudon; sisters-in-law, Helen Maynard, Pepsy Coscione, Matthew Rendon, Tabitha Peterson, Tommy Peterson; 9 great-grandchildren. neices and nephews. Funeral services 1 p.m. Saturday Loudon Funeral Home Chapel. with Rev. Carl Croft Officiating. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday Loudon Funeral Home.
