Lloyd Baker, 73 of the Paint Rock community, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 15, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones, after a brief illness. Lloyd was an avid fisherman, loyal friend to many, and a devoted father and grandfather. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Kathryn (Trout) Baker and his parents, RL and Florence Baker. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Lloyd ‘Junior’ (Tanjelia), of Loudon, Dwayne (Rhonda), of Athens, Angela (Jon), and Barbara (Brian), all of Paint Rock. He will also be fondly remember by his 11 grandchildren, Clint (Alexandra), Chris (Alexi), Lane (Amber), Jon, Jr., Alex, William (Hannah), Lucas (Katie), Tesia (Chris), Stephen, Nathanuael, Sam and great grandson, Remington. He is also survived by loving companion, Teresa Rucker, his life-long best friend and fishing buddy, Phillip Lawson, of Emlyn, KY.; and a host of siblings and extended family members. Funeral service will be 7pm Friday, July 17, 2020 at Loudon Funeral Home with Michael Britton officiating. Graveside service will be 10 am Saturday, July 18 at High Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston. The family will receive friends 5pm – 7pm Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Loudon Funeral Home and Cremations is in charge of the arrangements.
