ATKINS, LONNIE H. - 68 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at Parkwest Hospital. Lonnie was born in Madisonville, TN and was preceded in death by parents, Horace and Ellen Giles Atkins. Retired employee of Southern Belle Dairy and a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church, Madisonville. Survivors: wife, Judy Vanosdale Atkins; step son, Bryan Vanosdale, Kansas City, Mo; son, Robert Atkins, Knoxville; daughter, Hope Hubbard and husband, Kevin; grandsons, Cody and Cole Hubbard, Knoxville; sister and brother in law, Willie Mae Foxx and Gene Raper, Madisonville; brother and sister in law, David and Jane Atkins, Maryville; nieces, nephews and a host of friends in Johnson City, TN. The family would like to thank Dr. Kendra Hendon, Mary Sowell and the 3rd Floor nursing staff of Parkwest Medical Center. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to the Kidney Foundation or Diabetes Association. Funeral services 7:00 p.m. Thursday Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday Loudon Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Edgewood Cemetery 1:00 p.m. Friday for graveside services. Pallbearers: Wayne, Randy, Glenn, Terry and Mike Vanosdale, Don Wade. Honorary pallbearers: Bill Bivens, Mike Williams, Brent Morris, Perry Reynolds, Jimmy Vanosdale. www.loudonfuenralhome.net.
