Margie Lovetta Woods

Margie Lovetta Woods of Loudon, TN, passed away on Friday, October 25, at River Grove after a long battle with dementia.

She loved reading, working, and caring for others. She enjoyed gospel music, with the McKameys being her favorite artist.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Lillie May (Motsinger) Whitehead; five brothers: Andrew Whitehead, Leroy Whitehead, Paul Whitehead, Don Whitehead, and Meryle Whitehead; and three sisters: Pearl Whitehead, Dorothy Beecher, and Ruth Scheffler.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Rea of Loudon, TN; grandson, Brian Mendenhall; and two great-grandchildren, Raiden Mendenhall and Kaidence Mendenhall of Sweetwater, TN. She is also survived by two loving sisters, Norma Havron (Ken) and Joann Write, as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

A heartfelt thanks to the staff, friends, and co-workers at River Grove Health and Rehab. She worked for River Grove (Loudon Healthcare) for 22 years prior to her death. Thank you to Caris for her end-of-life care. All the family left behind appreciates the love and compassion shown to our sweet Lou.

Margie's final resting place is at Sweetwater Memory Gardens.
