Mary Mills

Mary Mills, Kokomo, went home with her beloved savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital, Kokomo. She was born on July 27, 1933 in Edgemoore, TN to the late Columbus and Nellie (Miller) Wilson. She married Ivan W. Mills who preceded her in death in 1991. Mary retired from Delco Electronics in 1992 after 28 years of service. She and Ivan moved back to Tennessee after they retired. Mary loved being around family and friends, she was active in the Eastern Star in Tennessee, and in Kokomo. She attended Bible Baptist Church in Kokomo. She was involved in her church, volunteered at Urban Outreach, and the local food bank. Mary is survived by her son, Ron Gann of Kokomo; granddaughter, Tracy (Donny) Gann Stucker of Missouri; sisters, Naomi Crutchfield of Michigan, and Ola Jean Wilson of Illinois; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special friends in Kokomo and Tennessee. Mary will be sadly missed by her family and friends, especially her beloved cat, "Smokey". She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan E. Mills; grandson, Jeramy Gann; brothers, James Estell Wilson and Homer Wilson; sisters, Ruth Mae Collins, Edith Wilson, and Pauline Jordan. Family will receive friends on Friday at First Baptist Church in Philadelphia, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Brian Courtney officiating. Interment to follow at Corinth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Philadelphia First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 45, Philadelphia, Tennessee 37846.
