Mary Patterson

Mary Elizabeth McKelvey Patterson, age 83, of Loudon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, July 5, 2021.  She was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church.  She worked for 44 years before retiring from Viskase. Mary loved spending time with her family and her animals.  One word to describe Mary was devoted. She was a devoted wife, daughter, aunt, and caregiver.

Mary was preceded in death by husband, William Carl “Pat” Patterson; Parents, Calvin and Ruth McKelvey; Sister, Ann McKelvey; Step-daughter, Carla Patterson; Step- Granddaughter, Ashley Strickland.

Mary is survived by committed nephew, Michael Trout and wife, Tracy; Great nephews, who she thought of as her grandchildren, Brayden and Connor Trout; Loving Step-Daughter, Gina Wauford and husband, Joe; Granddaughter, Jessica Ogle and husband, Michael; Step-Son, Mike Patterson;  Step-Grandchildren, April McClellan, Lori Rose, Adam Patterson and Skylar Patterson; Special friend and caregiver, Glenda Arp. Mary is also survived by a host of great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Rev. Danny Thornburg will be officiating.  The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Davis Cemetery.  Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.loudonfuneralhome.net.
