Nellie Purkey

Purkey, Nellie Ann - age 60 of Loudon, Tennessee, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 23, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. She was a member of Blairland Baptist Church in Loudon, TN. She is preceded in death by father, Jiles Burton Wells; step father, Wiley Eggers. She is Survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles Purkey, son, Tim Purkey; daughter, Carol Shubert and her husband Bobby Shubert, grand-daughters Michaela and Macy Shubert of Loudon, TN; mother Faye Eggers; Nellie's brother Rev. James (Tater) Wells and his wife JoAnn Wells of Rockford, TN; Niece, Wendy Hipps and her husband Melvin Hipps, Nephew, David Wells and his wife J. J. Wells of Friendsville, TN; brother, Troy Wells and his wife Peggy Wells of Alcoa, TN; Niece, Kim Remenschneider and her husband Lincoln Remenschneider of McCalla, AL; brother in law, Donnie Purkey and his wife Irene Purkey of Carrollton, GA; Nephew, Phillip Purkey and his wife Sheila Purkey of Newnan, GA; Nephew, Steve Purkey and his wife Jeana of Taylersville, KY; Niece Kim McElwaney and her husband Tim McElwaney of Carrollton, GA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 followed by funeral services beginning at 7:00 PM at Loudon Funeral Home, 2048 Mulberry Street, Loudon, TN 37774 with Nellie's brother Rev. James (Tater) Wells and Rev. Jon Henson officiating. The family will be gathering at Loudon Funeral Home, 2048 Mulberry Street, Loudon, TN 37774 at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 and proceed to the cemetery, Loudon County Memorial Gardens, 6505 Highway 11 W, Lenoir City, TN 37771 for a Graveside Service with Nellie's brother Rev. James (Tater) Wells and Rev. Jon Henson officiating.
