Norman B. Smallen, 86, of the Poplar Spring Community Loudon, passed away Friday evening April 5, 2013 at his home. Norman was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and retired employee of the Tennessee Highway Dept. preceded in death by his wife, Harriett Harvey Smallen,; son, Eddie Smallen; parents; John B. and Blanche Cook Smallen, siblings, Bernice Malone, T.R. , Kenny, and Jesse, and two infants, ; survivors, children and spouses, Brenda and Johnny Thearp, Doyle and Cathy Smallen of Loudon, Terry Smallen of Knoxville, Debbie and Steve Fitzpatrick of North Carolina. 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Brothers and spouses, Andy and Alma Lou Smallen, Duke and Margaret Smallen, Wyman and Mary Smallen and Ebb Smallen all of Loudon. Lynn and Linda Smallen of Lenoir City. Sister-in-laws, Imogene Harvey Scott and Kenda Smallen of Loudon. nieces and nephews Funeral services 7 p.m. Monday at Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Davis and Rev.
