Paul Holt

Paul D. Holt, of Kingston, TN passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at the age of 83.

Paul was an Operating Engineer with Rust Engineering in Oak Ridge, TN for 35 years. He enjoyed operating all forms of heavy equipment, but his greatest joy was to use his skills and time to help others whether a family member, neighbor or new acquaintance he was always ready and willing to help. He was generous in giving his time, talent and finances to make a difference in the lives of those around him.

Paul always tried to find the good in any situation to learn from it and to leave the bad behind. He was not a man to wait for things to come to him, but a man of action who would work tirelessly to get the job done and do it correctly. He always said, “if the job was worth doing, it was worth doing it right the first time.”

Paul had a great joy that filled his heart in the knowledge that his soul had been saved, his life had been changed, and his hope had been sealed by the blood of Jesus and that his eternal home was in heaven.

Since Paul preached his own funeral in life and he loved a good singing and worship service, a song service will be held when the family receives friends at Tennessee Chapel Baptist Church, 546 N. Tennessee Chapel Circle, Kingston, TN 37763, Monday, March 15, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, with Graveside to follow.

Paul is preceded in death by his Father, Buford Holt, Mother; Artie Mae Brandon Holt.  Brothers:  Marion E., Gerald D., and James L. Holt and sister:  Juanita Coffey Huskey. He leaves behind his Children: Son - Jean Paul Holt, daughters - Amanda Holt Barnett, (Ronnie), Tammy Holt Weingarten, (Dino). Grandchildren: Jared M. Barnett, (Rachel), April Weingarten Best, (Jonathan), and Bethany M. Weingarten. Great Grandchildren: Ricky L. Burgess, Elizabeth G. Burgess, Everett W. Barnett and Foster C. Barnett and Sisters: Sue Ladd, Doris Easter, (Jim) and Brenda Wallace.  Many nieces and nephews and some very special friends and neighbors
