Richard Stratton

Richard Lee Stratton, age 64, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024 at home with his family and friends by his side. He was a member of Old Country Baptist Church in Sweetwater.  

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Reid and Marie Stratton; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Stratton and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robinson; several aunts, uncles and his niece, Karie Nelson. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Y.Vonne (Sissy) Stratton; children, Grady & Carol Bingham, Jeremiah Bingham, all of Sweetwater, and Chrissy & Roy Keeble of Lenoir City; sisters, Rita Woody, Sharon & Mike Brashears, all of Vonore; brother, Jeff & Lori Stratton of Vonore; mother-in-law, Mary Jo Russell of Sweetwater; brother -in-law, John & Sondai Russell of Loudon; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & great nieces and nephews. 

A special Thanks to Caris Healthcare staff. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Richard to Loudon Funeral Home and Cremations. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., with the funeral service at 7 p.m. Rev. Samuel Thomas officiating. Graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Simpson Cemetery
