Robert Thompson

Robert Lee Thompson, 84, of Loudon, passed away November 6, 2017. He was member and ordained deacon of Jackson Chapel Church. He worked at Don P. Smith Chair Company and was a self-employed carpenter. Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Virginia Ritchey Thompson and sister, Mary Brogdon, both of Loudon; nieces, nephew and many friends; and the family pets, Brownie, Fiesty and Frisky. Funeral service will be 7pm Tuesday at Loudon Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Kirkland and Rev. Doyle Pruitt officiating. Graveside service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at Loudon County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Greg Jameson officiating. The family will receive friends 5pm - 7pm Tuesday, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Jackson Chapel Church, P.O. Box 68, Philadelphia, TN 37846.
