Ronald H. Langer went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 3, 2012 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 25, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois and had resided in Loudon since 2003. Ron's hobbies were fishing, camping, photography, history and helping coach the Warriors Wrestling team. Ron, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, served as a van driver, church photographer, an Awana Leader and VBS worker. Among the many things he did at the church, he participated in several mission trips, wrote the church newsletter, ran the sound and especially loved working with the kids. Even though the sufferings of cancer caused him pain, he diligently worked to be a witness and a servant for Christ. Ron desired that all would come to know the Lord he loved with all his heart. Matthew 25:21, "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
