Roy McGinnis

Roy E. McGinnis, 89, of Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017. Roy attended Cedar Fork Baptist Church and spent most of his life farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.H. and Retha McGinnis; brothers, Jim and Bob McGinnis; sister, Virginia Giles and sister in law, Elsie McGinnis. Survivors: wife, Mary McGinnis; son , Joel and wife, Devonda McGinnis; sisters, Ruby and Bill O'Kain, of Oak Ridge, Nell Jago, of Kingston; Betty Chrisman, of Loudon, Hattie and Keith McNabb, of Myrtle Beach, Kat and Charles Turbyfill, of Lenoir City; sister in law, Mildred McGinnis, of Lenoir City; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7 pm Friday, Loudon Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Watson, Rev. Brian Courtney and Rev. Bud Boring officiating. Graveside service, with full military honors, 11 AM Saturday, West View Cemetery, in Sweetwater. The family will receive friends 5 - 7 Friday, prior to the funeral service.
