Ruby Anna Lou Huskin Harper of Longmont, Colorado, formerly of Charleston, TN, passed away June 29, 2011 at home. She was 97. The daughter of Candis Ella Allmon and C.A. Huskin, Ruby was born September 6, 1913 in Loudon County, Tennessee, the youngest of seven children. Ruby married Ralph Harper on May 10, 1936 at Corinth Baptist Church in Loudon, Tennessee. Four children were born to this union. Ralph died in June 1996. Ralph and Ruby were married 60 years. Mrs. Harper was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church in Athens, Tennessee. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Longmont. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband; infant twins and son-in-law Fred Hasl. Ruby is survived by two daughers, Sharon Ratzlaff and husband Franklin Ratzlaff and Trena Hasl; two grandchildren, Kirk D. Ratzlaff and wife Debra and their children JonPaul and wife Shea, Austin and wife Paola and Annica Ratzlaff; and Verneta Lechman and husband Antony and their children, Mariah and Nicole Lechman, all of Longmont. Ruby is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her special friend Evelyn Mitchell. 1st Visitation will be held from 10-12 Noon on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. in Longmont, CO 2nd Visitation will be held from 5-7PM on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Loudon Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 7PM in the Loudon Funeral Home Chapel.
