Shirley Neloms

Shirley Mae Neloms, age 84 of Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2020.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ten Mile, TN, she loved going to church and enjoyed her church family.  Shirley loved sewing, especially making quilts.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Neloms; Parents, Erb and Lula Melton; Brother, T. J. Melton; and Nephew, Roy Melton Jr. Shirley Mae is survived by daughter, Darlene Scott and husband Wayne; Son, James Neloms and wife Laura; Step-Daughters, Iva Gwen Cooter, Vivian McDonald, Alice Walton; Brother, Roy Melton and wife Brenda, Kenneth Melton and wife Hazel, Jessie Melton and wife Evelyna, and Troy Melton; Sister, Faye Ballard; Grandchildren, Eric and wife Chelsea, Tyler and wife Kaytlyn, Zachery and wife Klarissa, Corey, Leanna and husband Randon, Will, Jon, and Cheyenne; Great Grandchildren, Isaiah, Rylie, Adaline, Taylon, and Toby; and Special friend, Janice Nelson; Shirley is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 6-8pm at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Loudon Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memory Gardens.
