Thelma Googe

GOOGE, THELMA - died December 11, 2014, at her home located at 111 Christian Street, Philadelphia, Tennessee. She was born July 12, 1925, in Pulaski, Tennessee, and graduated from Giles County High School. She was in the Beta Club in high school. She taught Sunday school and Sunbeams at church. She belonged to the Christian Women's Club and in the Energizers at church. She is survived by one brother, Clayborn Stofel; and four children, Patricia Estes, Ann Davis, C.L. Googe, and Tom Googe. She had five grandchildren, Cindy Valentine, Tony, Peter Schulz, Lindsay Durtschi, and Neil Googe; she had eight great grandchildren, Justin Valentine, Bethany Valentine, Austin Valentine, Trey Davis, Brooke Davis, Sarah Schulz, Emily Schulz, and Hazel Durtschi. Thelma lived her life helping and blessing others as Jesus taught. She touched many lives with her many kind deeds. Funeral service 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Loudon Funeral Home Chape l with Rev. Brian Courtney and Rev. Fred Davis officiating. Interment to follow at Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
