Thomas Reaume

Loudon

My Dear Friend Thomas Reaume or (Crazy Tom as he was known in various parts) finally blasted off from “Hillbilly Heaven” as he fondly referred to to his adopted home. Thomas was born in Santa Monica California and was a “Colorful Character x10” He marched to the beat of his own Drum, he loved telling stories and hearing stories. If someone caught his eye he would call them over and say “tell me your story”. That is how I met him when I was a young man. (I am now in my 50s). He loved jokes, telling and hearing…The raunchier the better. It was standard practice to warn people that were meeting him for the first time to not take his stories or jokes too seriously. Because, you would most likely be traumatized for life! He loved writing letters to famous people to see what kind of answer he would get back. Not too long ago I received a letter from the Queen of England thanking me for my concern. I mentioned this to Thom…He just laughed. Another time he gave me a phone number to call and listen to the message. It turned out to be the White House switch board. You can Imagine what was going thru my head. Anyway, Thomas will be remembered for being many things…LOL! In the end he was just trying to make it thru this crazy world as best he could. Some of us are quiet and reserved and then there are those like Thomas that took no prisoners, left no stone unturned and left a blazed/scorched trail behind him that let the universe know that “I WAS HERE!”. Thom is survived by Me and his wonderful set of care givers at River Grove Health and Rehabilitation.

Bless you Thom and thanks for rattling my cage on a regular basis!
