Vernie Maynard

September 14, 1938 — November 23, 2014

Vernie Maynard, age 76 of Loudon, passed away at Parkwest Medical Center after an extended illness. She was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by parents, Felix and Kathryn Oody Harris ; husband, Joe (Wayne) Maynard and daughter, Carolyn Maynard. Vernie is survived by her loving son, Lawrence J. Maynard of Knoxville; sister, Vinia Williams of Lenoir City; brother, Halbert Harris of Athens, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday at Loudon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Kirkland and Rev. Bobby Lawson officiating. Graveside and interment will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Valley View Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 pm prior to the service.
